Saturn Computers was incorporated in Anderson, Indiana, in March of 1981.

The owners and officers of the corporation, Jim & Peggy Dixon, graduated from Madison Heights High School, one of the former Anderson Community Schools, and began their careers in computers by majoring in mathematics and computer science at Purdue University in the late 60's. They were married here in Anderson shortly after graduation. Starting first as programmers, and then selling hardware, the Dixons incorporated Saturn Computers and specialized in providing custom software and CP/M based computers to customers by appointment & referral.

In 1987, Saturn began assembly of its own brand of PC compatible, non-proprietary, standardized computers. In 1989, Saturn Computers opened a storefront in Anderson, Indiana, which only occupied one quarter of the building. Since then, sales have increased so much that, Saturn purchased the entire building to add much needed space to its store front facilities, assembly, service, and storage areas.

In 1991, Saturn Computers successfully submitted a bid to the Northwest Indiana Educational Service Center to be approved to sell Saturn computers to any member school corporations in the state of Indiana. With this approval, more schools have become valued customers of Saturn.

The owners decided to retire and sold the Saturn Computers building in July 2021. We are continuing to provide website hosting services for our existing customers.
