Spring Festival

Majorettes salute a human replica of the Statue of Liberty during the poignant melody of "Battle Hymn of the Republic."

"The Music Festival is on its way..."

     These lyrics opened the Spring Festival of 1964. Each year one Madison Heights Music Department presents a full scale musical production. Among the high points of the 1964 production were the following: the lilting "Merry Widow" opera, recalled by the Concert Choir; the majorettes, in striking costumes, descending a staircase to "Lovely to Look At"; a piano concerto performed by Barbara Donnelly; the playing of the the senior band; and the traditional finale, "Battle Hymn of the Republic."
