A note from Brad...

Relative to my Army years--I did not mention it as I was beyond lucky in my assignment and there were so many guys in my class that deserve recognition for their contribution to our country--but clearly not me.
Anyway since you asked:  I was drafted, had previoU.S.ly gone to Culver so the army thought I should be a platoon guide, from there I was sent to Ft Sam HoU.S.ton in downtown San Antonio to be a clerk typist in a headquarters unit.  I then was allowed to apply and become a lifeguard at an officers wives pool while competing in gymnastics and wrestling for the army.  During spring break I would check out 100 man army hospital tents and take them to the coast where I would socialize.
My army experience was what dreams are made of, I'm sorry others couldn't have been equally as lucky, especially those who paid the ultimate price.  I of course got an honorable discharge but somehow don't feel I deserve the same statU.S. as those who daily put their lives on the line.
To any actual vets that read this note--you have my fullest respect.  It is strange how things happen, I wish all of you could of shared my good fortune.  I salute each and every one of you.

Sincerely,

Brad Carner
